Conflicool

A free and non-profit tool to resolve conflicts within or across borders, particularly across Belgium, Germany and/or the Netherlands. With free information and free consultations in English, Dutch, German or French.

Conflicool evolved from an initiative to facilitate mediation in a one-stop-shop. And to prevent lengthy judiciary procedures.

The non-profit Conflicool focuses in particular on the direct border region between Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

In addition, there are of course other possibilities for mediation and online dispute resolution.

An alternative dispute or online resoluion can help with “problems with a trader from another EU member state. By contacting an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body, consumers can settle their disputes with traders amicably, fast and mostly free of charge.” They further state to “put together the most important information on how an ADR procedure works, how the ODR platform of the EU Commission operates, and about ADR bodies in Germany as well as ADR bodies in Europe.”
